❤️ YOUNG HEARTS FOR LIFE IS COMING TO JCA! ❤️
We are excited to announce that Young Hearts for Life (YH4L) will be at JCA on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, during the school day in the gym!
This event is completely FREE for all JCA students and provides students with a free EKG screening. JCA has proudly hosted Young Hearts for Life biennially since 2006, giving our students an important opportunity to take a proactive step toward heart health.
In 2024, 89% of JCA students participated—the highest participation percentage in the state of Illinois! Because of that incredible participation, JCA earned a FREE AED for our school! 🙌
Let's do it again! Our goal this year is 100% student participation! 🎯
Parents, signing your student up is quick and easy—that's it! Please review the linked information below and complete the registration. Students can also find posters throughout the school with QR codes to send home to their parents.

Every time JCA has hosted this event, 1–2 students have been identified as needing a cardiology follow-up. Don't miss this opportunity to have your student participate in this important, potentially life-saving screening!
We will be sharing reminders through email, social media, and the JCA website as we get closer to the event.

We also need approximately 45 parent volunteers to help make this event a success! No medical background is required. There are plenty of ways to help, and your support is greatly appreciated.

When completing the registration, you will need your student's ID number.
- Sophomores, juniors and seniors: Your student's ID number can be found on their student ID from last year.
- Freshmen: Your student's ID number can be found in your FACTS account.
