April 2026 Students of the Month

 

Joliet Catholic Academy President/Principal Dr. Jeffrey Budz is pleased to announce the April Students of the Month: Symone Holman (Kiwanis Club), Antonio Saucedo (Lions Club), and Nolan Vogel (Rotary Club). JCA is proud of the success these students have exhibited in both the classroom and in the community.

Symone Holman, daughter of Tamara and Vurnell Holman of Shorewood, is a graduate of Trinity Christian School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National French Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. She is involved in French Club, Key Club, Cooking Club, Habitat for Humanity, and is a Student Ambassador and an Anti-Racism committee member. Symone is a member of the track & field team and was the IHSA State Runner-up in long jump sophomore year, placed in various races junior year, and was the ESCC Track & Field Athlete of the Year in 2025. She is also a member of the varsity basketball team and served as team captain. She is busy outside of her school duties as she works as a YMCA Youth Counselor. Symone is a track & field commit at Central Michigan University and plans to major in pre-dental.

Antonio Saucedo, son of Diana and Antonio Saucedo of Joliet, is a graduate of St. Mary Immaculate Grade School. He is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and National French Honor Society. Antonio participates in Student Council for which he is the class vice president, Key Club, Medical Science Club, and is a Student Ambassador. Outside of his school responsibilities, Antonio helps with his family’s salon business and enjoys spending time with his family. Antonio plans to attend the University of St. Francis and major in biology on a pre-medicine path. He would eventually like to become a dermatologist.

Nolan Vogel, son of Anna and Brian Vogel of Plainfield, is a graduate of Heritage Grove Middle School. Nolan is a member of the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Throughout his years at Joliet Catholic Academy, Nolan has been an avid wrestler, served as team captain for two years, and was a three-time IHSA State Qualifier and two-time State Placer. He is also a Kairos retreat leader and involved in Student Council, Key Club, Hillzone, and Habitat for Humanity. He keeps busy outside of school as he frequently helps coach at youth wrestling clubs and enjoys lifting at Rudy’s Gym. Nolan plans to attend Elmhurst University and major in nursing.
