Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry implements programs that contribute to the spiritual welfare of the entire JCA community in developing a Roman Catholic environment that fosters a deep, personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ through the charisms of the Carmelites and Franciscans.

MEET OUR FACULTY

Dr. Robert Bailey is a 1990 graduate of Joliet Catholic High School. He holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s degree from Bradley University, a Master’s degree from DePaul University, and a PhD from Illinois State University. He has been a Senior Professor of English at South Suburban College since 2001, and joined the staff at JCA in 2019. In his time at JCA, he has worked closely with Campus Ministry and took over as a Campus Minister in 2022. Mrs. Melisa Ferro is a 1992 graduate of Joliet Catholic Academy.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Purdue University and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Lewis University.  She worked as campus minister from 2000-2004, took time off, raising three boys, and returned to JCA in 2016.  She is married to Nick, a fellow graduate from JCA and has proudly graduated three sons from JCA.
