Joliet Catholic Academy is located on the west side of Joliet, near the communities of Shorewood, Plainfield and Minooka/Channahon. Because of the easy accessibility to Will, DuPage, Grundy and Kendall counties, JCA pulls students from a wide variety of neighboring towns.
As a result, JCA provides transportation options for students according to interest. The most common methods of commuting to JCA are parents/students driving directly, carpools, and contracted bus service by First Student. In order to have students arrive in a timely manner, near 7:40 AM, we must put boundaries on the service area. Currently we have two bus routes. One goes to Bolingbrook, Romeoville, Plainfield and Crest Hill. The other picks up in Plainfield, Shorewood and west Joliet. The routes are determined annually based on ridership. Current families are encouraged to complete this form if you have an extra seat in your car and can help! Once all responses are gathered, the information will be sent to you. It will be your responsibility to contact families with whom you would like to arrange a carpool. Please consider completing the form if you have an extra seat in your car! Busing: $1,300 one time; or two installments of $750.00 (September 2026 and December 2026) total $1,500.
